Antalya, Turkey, July 20, 2015 - The International Volleyball Federation is pleased to announce new dates for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Antalya Open 2015, which will take place from October 20-25.
The dates of the event were changed to avoid a clash with the 2015 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship Milan Masters, which were announced last June while the FIVB was discussing a possible rescheduling of the Antalya Open with the Turkish Volleyball Federation.
The world's best beach volleyball athletes will convene in the city on the southern coast of Turkey nine days after the Puerto Vallarta Open in Mexico.
The Antalya Open will take place as follows:
October 19: Women's Country Quota Playoff
October 20: Women's Qualification Tournament / Men's Country Quota Playoff
October 21: Women's Main Draw / Men's Qualification Tournament
October 22: Women's and Men's Main Draw
October 23: Women's and Men's Main Draw
October 24: Women's Finals / Men's Main Draw
October 25: Men's Finals
The Antalya Open is the eighth of ten Open events on the 2015 FIVB Beach Volleyball Calendar, which also features Grand Slam events in Moscow (RUS), St. Petersburg (USA), Yokohama (JPN), Long Beach (USA), and Olsztyn (POL), and Major Series events in Porec (Croatia), Stavanger (NOR) and Gstaad (SUI). The 2015 World Tour Finals will take place in Fort Lauderdale (USA) from September 29 through to October 4.
