Lucerne, Switzerland, May 14 - Playing in their first-ever FIVB World Tour event together, the Swiss pair of Nico Beeler and Alexei Strasser defeated a team from the United States Thursday afternoon in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Lucerne Open 2015 to secure a spot in Friday's elimination round.
The 22-year old Beeler is playing in his first FIVB World Tour stop while Strasser has competed in 23 other international tournaments with different partners.
