VIDEO: Injury hamper American Olympians Dalhausser & Rosenthal

Moscow, Russia, May 29, 2015 - American Olympian Phil Dalhausser will miss the next three FIVB World Tour events in Croatia, Norway and the United States due to an oblique muscle injury on his left side.

Playing with Sean Rosenthal as the top-seeded team in the Moscow Grand Slam, the American gold medal winner at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with  Todd Rogers will be withdrawing from the international Beach Volleyball events to recover from the injury prior to the start of next month's FIVB World Championships (June 26-July 5) in The Netherlands.

Dalhausser was injured in a match against Alexander Walkenhorst and Stefan Windscheif of Germany as he and Rosenthal dropped a 2-1 (20-22, 21-18, 15-7) pool play decision in 53 minutes.

Rosenthal is planning on playing the next three events with yet to be determined partners.  After this week’s event in the Russian capital, the FIVB World Tour’s first “Major Series” stops are set for Croatia (Poreč, June 1-7) and Norway (Stavanger, June 8-14) before international circuit crosses the Atlantic for the final world championship “tune up” in the United States for the St. Petersburg Grand Slam in Florida (June 15-21).
