Lausanne, Switzerland, April 19, 2015 – Social media will take the front seat in the season opener of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Fuzhou Open 2015, to enhance fan experience by providing them with exciting and wonderful content on and beyond the playing field.
The capital city of the Fujian province will be hosting this Open event for the third time from April 21 to 26.
Last year, Italy’s Paolo Nicolai/Daniele Lupo and USA’s Kerri Walsh Jennings/April Ross grabbed the men’s and women’s gold medals, respectively.
This year, the action on court will not be the only focus, instead, fans will be treated to more information and images from the event such as preview statistics, latest results, news and features, live updates on Twitter, photo coverage on Instagram and on the website.
Behind the Scenes videos will also be featured to showcase the lives of players and other personalities on and off the court through interviews and feature pieces.
The essential goal for these engagement activities is to bridge the gap between the sports personalities and the fans.
