The pair qualified for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the South American continental qualifying rounds. Bobadilla posted a third, a second, a fourth and a third this season in four South American tour events with the first three being with Michelle Valiente and the last with Filippo. While Bobadilla will be playing in her first world championships, Filippo placed 17th with Valiente in 2015. Filippo and Valiente also advanced to the final stage of the Olympic qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as the pair participated in the FIVB Continental Cup in Sochi, Russia.
