Yokohama, Japan, July 26, 2015 - Germany's Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst outplayed Brazil's Agatha/Barbara 2-0 (21-14, 21-17) to claim the gold medal in the FIVB Yokohama Grand Slam.
The Germans came a long way in the tournament and defeated tough opponents on the leadup to the final. Ludwig/Walkenhorst defeated Larissa/Talita of Brazil in the quarterfinals and Fopma/Ross of USA in the semifinals, before their impressive title-winning match against Agatha/Barbara in the gold medal match.
