Leal and Simon celebrate new deals in style

Civitanova Marche, Italy, February 20, 2020 – Lube Civitanova were given a boost ahead of their latest Italian SuperLega match when two of their biggest stars extended their deals with the club.

Outside hitter Yoandy Leal and middle blocker Robertlandy Simon have signed extensions with the reigning FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship winners until 2022.

Brazilian Leal and Cuban Simon were key players in Civitanova’s success in 2019 when along with claiming the world title, they also won the CEV European Champions League and Italian SuperLega titles.

The pair helped Lube win their first match after resigning, 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22) against Fenerbahce HDI Sigorta Istanbul in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

They will now hope to continue that momentum when they take on Monza in the SuperLega hoping to take advantage of any slip-up by league leader Conad Perugia with whom they are tied on 51 points.
