The pair qualified for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via the South American continental qualifying rounds. The Argentineans will be competing in their first FIVB World Championship together with Azaad placing 37th at the 2015 FIVB World Championships with Pablo Bianchi. Azaad started playing on the FIVB World Tour in 2012 with career best finishes of ninths in 2013 and 2014. Capogrosso made his international debut in 2014 with career best placements of fifths in two of his first three tournaments with Ian Mehamed at “open” events in Paraná (Argentina 2014) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil 2015).
