News Beach volleyball 12/08/2016 Borger & Buthe quick turn-around artists Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 11, 2016 - Sixty-four minutes after finishing a pool play match, Germany’s Karla Borger and Britta Buthe were back playing on the center court in the Beach Volleyball competition at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with one purpose - stayin’ alive to play another match on Copacabana.After losing a two-set Pool E match to Canada’s Heather Bansley and Sarah Pavan to conclude their group schedule late Thursday evening, the Germans had to win a “lucky losers” match early Saturday morning to advance to the 16-team women’s elimination round against Norisbeth Agudo and Olaya Pazo of Venezuela.Less than two hours after losing, the Borger and Buthe were winning with a 2-0 (21-13, 21-8) victory over Agudo and Pazo in 30 minutes.
