Amsterdam, the Netherlands, July 1, 2015 – Qatar pair Jefferson Pereira and Cherif Younousse will aim to topple unbeaten USA pair John Mayer and Ryan Doherty when they meet in the first knockout round of the Netherlands 2015, FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships.

• Jefferson Santos Pereira and Cherif Younousse are playing in their 3rd FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournament together.
• Jefferson and Cherif along with Isaac Kapa/Christopher McHugh of Australia are the only two men’s teams from the Asian Confederation in the final 32.
• Jefferson and Cherif are currently ranked 40th in FIVB World Tour points in 2015 with 550 points and 41st in winnings with $7,800.
• Jefferson and Cherif are the first team from Qatar to play in the FIVB World Championships.

• Ryan Doherty and John Mayer are playing in their 4th FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournament together.
• Ryan and John are a replacement team for injured Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal.
• Ryan has played in 2 FIVB World Tour final fours with one silver medal and one bronze medal.
• John has played in 1 FIVB World Tour final fours with one 4th place finish.
