Congratulations to you, the players - President Graça

 
The Hague, Netherlands, June 26, 2015 – President Dr Ary S. Graça F° gave high praise to the Netherlands, the four venues in four different cities and event organizers while congratulating the participating players in The Hague at the general technical meeting Friday prior to the start of the $1m FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships featuring the world’s best players.

GENERAL INFO
A total of 48 women’s and 48 men’s teams have been split into 12 four-team pools for three rounds of pool play with plenty of promising matchups in 144 group matches among 12, four-team pools split into three pools per gender with competition anchored in The Hague, with Amsterdam Apeldoorn and Rotterdam all hosting pool play and three rounds of eliminations. The competition concludes with the women’s semifinals and medal matches in The Hague on Saturday, July 4 and the men’s semifinals and medal matches on Sunday, July 5.

PURSE
With a total of 96 tandems (48 in each gender), two-person teams will be competing for part of a $1 million purse as the Netherlands hosts an FIVB international event for the sixth consecutive year.  

The gold medal winning teams in each gender will earn $70,000 while the silver medalists will take home $52,000 with the bronze medalists netting $40,000 with $30,000 going to the fourth place finishers.
