Canadians and Swiss showdown in Amsterdam

 
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, July 1, 2015 – Canadian pair Chaim Schalk and Ben Saxton will need to get past Switzerland’s Philip Gabathuler and Mirco Gerson if they want to maintain their progress at the Netherlands 2015, FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. 

Ben Saxton and Chaim Schalk (CAN), 2nd Place Pool H, The Hague
Ben Saxton and Chaim Schalk have been playing together since 2013. They are playing in their 28th FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournament together.
Ben has played in 1 FIVB World Tour final four with one bronze medal.
Chaim has played in 1 FIVB World Tour final fours with one bronze medal.
Ben’s and Chaim’s last Final Four was a Bronze at Paraná in November, 2014.
Ben and Chaim are currently ranked 11th in FIVB World Tour points in 2015 with 1,960 points and 15th in winnings with $53,800.
Ben and Chaim won gold medals at the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit San Diego in 2012 (Chula Vista, United States) and Trinidad and Tobago in 2014 (Courland, Trinidad and Tobago).

Philip Gabathuler / Mirco Gerson (SUI), 2nd Place Pool I, The Hague
Philip Gabathuler and Mirco Gerson have been playing together since 2012. They are playing in their 19th FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournament together.
Philip has played in 2 FIVB World Tour final fours with two bronze medals.
Mirco has played in 2 FIVB World Tour final fours with two bronze medals.
Philip’s and Mirco’s last Final Four was a Bronze at Stavanger in June, 2014.
Philip and Mirco are currently ranked 23rd in FIVB World Tour points in 2015 with 1,440 points and 25th in winnings with $31,000.
Mirco won the silver medal at the U21 World Championships with Gabriel Kissling in 2012 (Halifax, Canada).
