World Championships broadcast deal set to take beach volleyball to new audiences

Stare Jablonki, Poland, June 29, 2013 – The television coverage for the FIVB 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championships will be broadcast in at least 96 nations and territories and take the sport to new audiences across the globe.

A total of 208 matches, split evenly between men’s and women’s matches, have been scheduled by the FIVB, host broadcaster TVP and FIVB Television Agency IMG, across the seven days of play taking into consideration the requests of the host broadcaster and international television takers.

Polish channel TVP is the host broadcaster and they will broadcast live at 11:00 and 13:00 every day apart from Monday whilst their sports channel TVP Sport will carry the rest of the tournament
on centre court.

There will also be live, free English-language coverage available on FIVB Web TV powered by LAOLA1.tv, for those countries and territories in which a broadcast deal hasn't been agreed.

With only two days before the start of the FIVB's premier beach volleyball tournament, which takes place every two years, these television numbers are expected to increase even further.
