Brazil women's teams finish strong at Fort Lauderdale Major

 
Fort Lauderdale, USA, February 13, 2017 - Brazil celebrated two spots on the women’s podium on Sunday with gold and silver medals at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Fort Lauderdale Major.





Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes were crowned champions after defeating compatriots Agatha Bednarczuk and Eduarda "Duda" Lisboa in the 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) women’s final.




The United States’ April Ross and Kerri Walsh Jennings, who have played together since 2013, are back for the season before Ross takes a break.




Serbian players enjoyed a day in the stands of the Fort Lauderdale Major.




Germany’s Chantal Laboureur/Julia Sude won the bronze medal match, 2-0 (21-14, 21-14), against the United States’ Brooke Sweat/Summer Ross. In this clip, the Germans tried to outplay Brazil’s Agatha/Duda. Which team survived the rally?




Newly-formed duo Marleen Van Iersel and Manon Nummerdor-Flier of the Netherlands headed home with a smile and a wealth of experience to use in their budding partnership.
