Provisional Beach Volleyball Olympic Ranking online

 
Lausanne, Switzerland, July 28, 2015 - Brazilian beach volleyball world champions Alison Cerutti/Bruno Oscar Schmidt (4120 points) and Agatha Bednarczuk/Barbara Seixas (5060 points) have earned quota places for their National Olympic Committee (NOC)/National Federation (NF) at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. They also currently top the Provisional Olympic Rankings for men and women respectively.

In the men's Provisional Olympic Ranking, FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships The Netherlands 2015 bronze medallists Evandro Goncalves/Pedro Solberg are second (4000), ahead of Dutch pairs Alexander Brouwer/Robert Meeuwsen (3740) and Reinder Nummerdor/Christiaan Varenhorst, silver medallists at the World Championships (3620). The 15 highest ranked teams in the Olympic
Ranking on June 13, 2016 will each earn a quota place for their NOC/NF
up to a maximum of two quota places per NOC/NF.
 
In the women's ranking, Agatha/Barbara are followed by Canadians Sarah Pavan and Heather Bansley (4230). Third place is occupied by Brazilian team Maria Antonelli/Juliana Felisberta (3760), who were bronze medallists in the women's competition at the World Championships in the Netherlands. Here too, the 15 highest ranked teams on June 13 will earn quota places for their NOCs/NFs.

The FIVB will officialise the Olympic Ranking on June 13, 2016 and NOCs will be required to confirm the use of quota places to the FIVB by June 27.

The provisional ranking has been made available for media purposes only - it will be updated after each event in the Olympic qualification system.
