Prague, Czech Republic, May 23, 2015 - Second-seeded Agatha Bednarczuk and Barbara Seixas of Brazil won their opening match against an Austrian team here Saturday in the sixth annual Prague Open on the center court sand Stvanice Stadium.
Agatha and Seixas had to rally to win a three-setter over 22nd-seeded Barbara Hansel and Stefanie Schwaiger of Austria. Trailing most of the first set, Agatha and Seixas out-lasted the Austrians 27-25 for the win. After Hansel and Schwaiger won the second set 21-17, the Brazilians took command of the third set early and won 15-9.
With the win, Agatha and Seixas will play 23rd-seeded Jennifer Fopma and Summer Ross of the United States. The Americans opened play Saturday with a two-set win over 11th-seeded Ana Gallay and Georgina Klug of Argentina.
